LATEST MESSAGE - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28
SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT
“Stewards of God’s Grace” (1 Peter 4:10-11) – God is the great Giver! And now, God has given “gifts” to us so that we might serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21
“Ash Wednesday” on the 1st Sunday of Lent
“REJOICING COMES IN THE MORNING” (Psalm 30:1-12) – The “signs” of God’s grace remind us of all our blessings. And, above all, the “signs” of God’s grace orient us as we call out for God’s mercy because while “weeping may stay for the night,” we can trust that with God’s help “rejoicing comes in the morning.”
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14
“IT IS GOOD FOR US TO BE HERE” (Mark 9:2-7) – To be in the presence of Jesus is to be in no better place. The “Transfiguration of Jesus” was not only a mountaintop experience for Peter, James, and John, but remains a mountaintop experience for us today.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7
“GREET ONE ANOTHER” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) – To “greet” another person is to express kindness, show respect, and extend honor. And to “greet” others in the name of Christ is to participate as an “ambassador” for Christ as we share in God’s ministry of reconciliation.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, JANUARY 31
“VALUE OTHERS ABOVE YOURSELVES” (Philippians 2:1-11) – Jesus offers us an alternative to living in a “me first” kind of world. To value others above ourselves is, in effect, to confess all that we are and all that we have are explained by the selfless, sacrificial actions of God’s love that are now being incarnated into the world of our daily experiences.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, JANUARY 24
"BEAR WITH ONE ANOTHER” (Colossians 3:12-14) – Most of us know the experience of dealing with “difficult” people, and this can certainly be a difficult experience. But thankfully, if we will “clothe” ourselves with the virtues of Jesus Christ, then we will learn how to “bear” with each other and forgive each other.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, JANUARY 17
“ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER” (Ephesians 4:29—5:2) – As followers of Christ, we must not only believe in the creed of “encouragement,” but we must live into the blessings of all that the creed of “encouragement” delivers. So let us follow God’s example and walk in the way of love!
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, JANUARY 10
"How Happiness Happens" (Mark 8:34-37) -- Do you want to be happy and live happier right now? Well, Jesus provides the recipe for happiness when he invites us to "deny" ourselves, take up our cross, and follow him.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, JANUARY 3
"Lord, Save Me!" (Psalm 116) -- This a prayer we all need to pray again today! The fears, uncertainties, and mysteries of life test our faith. But, if we keep our eyes on the Lord, then he will keep us from sinking!
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20
“Inexhaustible Love” (1 Peter 4:7-11) – How does God love me? It’s a question many of us have had. Thankfully, the Christmas Story incarnates this vital truth: God’s love never fails; God’s love is, in fact, “inexhaustible.”
MID-WEEK WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16
"The Spirit of Hospitality -- 2" (1 Peter 4:9) -- As an action of love, "hospitality" is more than just sharing what we have with others; it is, instead, the sharing of who we are for others.
MESSAGE - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13
"Inexpressible and Glorious Joy" (1 Peter 2:21-25) -- Because Jesus humbled himself, you and I can now know and experience "inexpressible and glorious joy" with him.
MID-WEEK WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9
"The Spirit of Hospitality - 1" (Romans 9:13) -- The ministry of Jesus commissions us to love our neighbor and to share what we have with others.
PASTOR WYATT'S MESSAGE - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6
"Surviving & Thriving: Possessive Peace" (1 Peter 2:1-3) -- Most of us are "possessed" by something, in one way or another. On this 2nd Sunday of Advent, we invite the question: "What kind of spirit will we be possessed by today?"
MID-WEEK WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT -WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2
"Real Spirituality --4" (Matthew 6:1) -- In doing our "acts" of righteousness, Jesus reminds us to check our motives. And so, let us offer up our acts of righteousness as an expression of gratitude to God for all the ways God has blessed us to be a blessing.
MESSAGE -SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29
“SURVIVING & THRIVING: “LIVING HOPE” (1 Peter 1:3-5) – As we gather for worship on the 1st Sunday of Advent, our hearts are joined together by “living hope.” And so, may we allow the peace, joy, and love of Jesus Christ to be birthed in our hearts all over again in this new year of new beginnings.
MESSAGE -SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22
"Surviving & Thriving" -- Because of God's faithful love, we have much for which to be thankful! So, may the "eyes" of our hearts be enlightened to see the hope to which God has called us in Jesus Christ.
